This was my first single since lockdown restrictions were removed! I wrote this song about having a voice to express your opinions. Identity is at the heart of this song, about being accepted for who we are no matter our heritage or background or social class.

It drives the message that everyone in the World should have freedom of speech or indeed, freedom itself.

The song celebrates that small group of people who are always more stylish, clever, front runners/leaders and visionaries. And all the “ordinary” people want to be like them and are motivated by them.

“No need for complications/ Taken from the past”: means its easier learning from past mistakes, so that the world can be a better place to live now and in the future.

Our “youthful anticipation” is not necessarily about being young. It’s having a passion for life, no matter what age and you can “see it in our eyes”!

Start looking for like-minded individuals, who can change the world with ground-breaking ideals and ideas. Like saving the planet and acknowledging the impact of climate change.

“People of Today” are those individuals who make an impression on you or inspire you. Perhaps you are one of the People of Today!
